William Ferman Sr. came to the United States from El Salvador in the early 1980s with nothing but a strong work ethic and a desire to build a better life—literally and figuratively. At just 19 years old, he began his career as a carpenter’s apprentice, learning the trade from the ground up. Over the decades that followed, he mastered nearly every facet of residential construction: framing, roofing, masonry, home remodeling, and more.

His reputation for honesty, precision, and grit eventually led him to become a unionized laborer with Sanzari, where he worked on large-scale, federally funded infrastructure projects throughout the tri-state area. After a long and successful career, Will retired from the union—but not from building. His passion for craftsmanship never left him.

Ferman General Contractors was born from that passion. With over 30 years of hands-on experience and deep industry knowledge, Will now brings a personal, detail-oriented approach to home renovations, remodels, and custom projects. It’s more than just work—it’s legacy.
